Trillium 4500 question

Hi, I have a quick question about about a Trillium 4500. My wife own a 13' lit' Bigfoot which we've had for a couple of years now. It's shaped very much like a Scamp. We like a lot of things about the trailer but we really find the main bed very cramped. The rounded corners of the trailer shape contribute to the feeling of being cramped but it would be nice if the bed were a bit wider and deeper.

I've been looking at other trailer designs, looking for something with a bit larger bed. In a old sale Trillium sales brochure for the 4500, it says the main bed is a full sized, but doesn't give the dementions. Can a current 4500 owner please measure their bed and post it for me?

Also, what do people like about their Trilliums? And what do you wish was different?

My trillium 4500 is in storage but, I can tell you the bed is Just short of a double bed. We do have a double mattress( foam ) on the rear dinette that we just leave down all the time.
As the mattress fits very tight and hangs out maybe two inches at the end of the table .That extra room does make for better sleeping for two.

My 4500 is under a tarp in the backyard but if my memory serves me right I believe the bed is 54” wide, which is 6” narrower than a queen but about 6” wider than a standard Trillium 1300 or Boler/Scamp bed. Perhaps others can confirm. I’m 6’2” and can just stretch out across the trailer.
The dimensions of the bed were a major selling point of the 4500 when we first bought ours 10 years ago.

I measured the bed on 4500 to be 53" wide. And the corners are far less rounded, so the bed is less cramped.

There seems to be a lot to like about the old Trilliums. There are a fair number of belly band issues, not totally unique to Trillium, and the window design with a wood sandwich between the layers of fiberglass could be better. Dave and Randy Bishop have good threads on repairs they have done.

The 4500 bed is probably just about the same size as my 5500 rear bed. It also depends where you measure the width. At the bed platform level, it's about 52 inches (from memory) but when you add a 8in mattress on top on the platform like I have, due to the fact that the trailer sides and rear wall are not vertical, at the mattress top it's a couple inches wider.

Could be Carl, I measured, without cushions, from the back wall to the kitchen and/or closet.
