Casita Bathroom Ventilator addition

Has anyone put the new bathroom ventilator in an older Casita? Would you share any tips for type, picking up electricity, and getting a good seal on the curved surface?
Thanks,
Madelinecap

Me too

Read my mind! I've been thinking this would be a great mod for my 2000 Casita. Following. . .

Just watched a YouTube video with the original Casita ventilator and it is incredibly noisy! I am going to look for something else that will work.

Just open the window. We even leave it open when we are gone. If it rains it will go onto the fiberglass floor and won't hurt anything. No one can climb into it so it is safe to leave open. We have the little fan in ours and it seldom gets used. Doesn't seem to do a whole lot of good.

The bathroom roof vent fans that Casita installs are known to be a bit finicky and problematic. Mainly the switch quits working fairly soon afterwards. It is also kind of ironic that Casita has been installing these fans in their bathrooms for many years, despite the fact that the Ventline advertisement says specifically not to install them above tubs, showers and range cooking surfaces. Apparently Casita didn't read that part...

I just installed one in my Scamp13D.
Picked up power from the cabinet on the other side of the bulkhead.
Used putty tape for the seal.
Start the process by locating it using a close estimate, drill a small hole at the center then scribe the circle to cut the hole.
I installed the inside escutcheon with 3 screws and nuts all the way through the flange on the roof ( half of them) the other three are attached only to the roof itself.
Finally... I trimmed the putty on the outside and finished the edge with black OMGSilicone!
