Casita TV Cable question

I have a 2019 Casita & noticed a black TV Cable running from the Antenna Box through the cabinets to the kitchen/bathroom wall behind the carpet. What is there?

The antenna is glued to the fiberglass before the carpet is glued up. It is somewhere between the bathroom door and the ceiling fan. At least that is what I was told.

I received similar information from Casita on my 2019 SD17. When I checked out the antenna, I was disappointed. Don't expect much from the antenna. It is what I would consider a very cheap antenna. I even told Casita that I felt they failed their quality build and name with this product.

In my attempt to research the antenna, I received the following message from my sales representative at Casita.

Bob,
The only information I can find for the antenna is part number AN350. Unknown manufacturer. We purchase it through Kingston Distribution, LLC. I’ve found the same part number on other websites but cannot find a manufacturer. As you know, we no longer purchase it through ASA Electronics.

Carla

Using Google search, I was able to find a 2-page PDF file online that covered the installation of the antenna. The manufacturer is no longer in business. I pretty much received a run-around when calling trying to get specifications on the antenna from Kingston. Google AN350.

The PDF is strictly installation instructions with one very simple graphic of a SUV with the antenna mounted horizontally on the driver side rear window.

If you are not within about 5 to 10 miles of direct line-of-sight position with the TV station transmitter antenna, you will most likely have little or no reception from this antenna. If I had known about the antenna and its installation prior to purchase, I would not have selected this option. I consider it useless extra weight on the trailer and a waste of money.

It is possible that if you always camp in large camping facilities with the hookups, you may not have a problem. I don't know if these camping sites have TV repeater antennas or not.

I found this was a common problem, not just Casita. I purchase this. In my backyard I could not get anything. With this I got 15 channels. https://kingconnect.com/king-omnigo-...-hdtv-antenna/
