So just to clarify in case anyone is confused by the thread title, that is a Scamp 13.

The Slingshot sticker on the door must have been added by a previous owner. Slingshot is a Kiteboarding company.

I no longer feel guilty about how little I paid for my Scamp. You got a fantastic deal in my opinion. Bravo!!

great find

well it certainly pays to keep you eyes open. a 2000 scamp for 500.00 unreal!

Not much real basic work and you have a very useable trailer! I think that is the best price I have read about so far. That rig will clean up nicely little elbow grease and cheap camping!

good luck

bob

Currently taking out everything inside. Drove home in a rainstorm, front window and back left window leaks, not terribly, but enough to cause some water damage over the years. Will probably end up replacing rear dinette floor and will not use A/C. heater, fridge, stove or sink. At least that's the plan, now. Took out the fresh water tank underneath the dinette, definitely rotting around the drain hole. Maybe more work than I bargained for but can't really complain for the price. 😁 🍻

So you paid $500? The shell alone, with no frame, axle floor or interior is likely worth $1,000 - $2,000, so if you find yourself in over your head with the rebuild you can still make a nice profit I think.

Pulled up the rat fur as I knew thered be some rot.

Has anyone replace the side wood, as well as back table support? Definitely need to do so, but only after resealing the driver side window, probably back window, as well. Definitely where the water is coming in from side.
