Scamp 16 front bath toilet leak

Hello all
Did a camping trip the last couple of days and ended up with toilet leak that trickled under the side dinette. It was caught immediately so no issues there.
The problem is I cannot source the leak from the normal places.
1. There are no leaks present in the bathroom from any of the usual spots.
2. The leak migrated into the side dinette area which makes me thing it was the bottom of the holding tank at the outlet.
3. This one was weird..the way I caught it was I happened to be near the toilet vent on the side and noticed liquid dripping out of the louvered vent.

The holding tank was very full at the time which might explain the flow out of the vent.

All the cleanup and drying was done but need some help on a leak source.

Thanks for all the insight!

Sounds like it was just too full. When the **** hits the fan (or the air vent), bad things might happen.

I am thinking the same thing. We have never gotten close to filling the tank before but this seems like the only logical answer.

Thanks for your input

If I understand the Scamp arrangement they use a SeaLand toilet with the black tank on the top of the fiberglass front floor. The drain goes straight down through the floor and has a valve at the exit. There may be a leak that is letting the "water" run under the fiberglass floor into the dinette area. Just guessing. The bottom of the black tank bolts to the fitting below the floor. My best guess is a leaking gasket there. Also if it has been leaking for a while check the floor for rot as well.

Actually the way the tank is installed the molded in neck drops down through the floor to the outside. The standard pvc drain elbow is then threaded into that. It would be near impossible to get a leak from that area that would not show up outside.
I spoke with Scamp this morning and they had never heard of a situation like ours. He agreed based on other findings and the fact that my wife overfilled the tank it was simply caused by that.
Knowing that waste water came out of the vent hole on the side was a big help.
This was the longest we had camped without a full hookup.
9 gallons with 3 people does not last that long!
