Repair of old style Scamp reading light

I noticed the reading light over the bed (Scamp old style) was not not holding its position. I removed the light from the upper cabinet to repair it. Normally the light ratchets at different angles up and down. The light housing has curved plastic rails that right on little wheels. The wheels are held in place with a metal pin which friction fits into the housing. As you can see, the pin dislodged from the housing on one side so the wheels were no longer holding the light in position.

The light housing has a second pin that holds the light housing to the fixture base and acts as a hinge. I pushed the pin in from one side, then pulled it out.

Once the pin was out the light housing separates from the fixture base.

With just a little difficulty, the pin with the little wheels was put back in place with the wheels in the proper position. Then the hinge pin was replaced and the fixture returned to the Scamp cabinet.

Truth, I never was too crazy about these lights. Next time I might just replace it with immobile dome light that wont be affected but the rolling earthquake.
