If you are near Ft. Collins, CO I found a great trailer shop that replaced my axle. See my post at: https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...ent-92692.html

Install a Lift Kit

Michael, I have a 2017 Scamp Deluxe and it sat too low from day one. I brought it home in January 2017 and somehow damaged the toilet waste drain. I discovered the problem and replaced the damaged parts in April 2017.

I only drive on normal roads and into campsites so don't ride on bad roads very often, but in 2019 I damaged the grey water tank and the toilet waste line again. I decided a Lift Kit was the best option to avoid these expensive repairs.

I had trouble finding a lift kit so made some from 2"x3" tubing. I later found out that Etrailer had a lift kit that would have worked with my LCI/Lippert axle. It is part LC270682.

Here is Etrailer’s response when I asked if it would work for a LCI/Lippert 2200lb axle?

Here is my post to this site when I installed my lift tubes. If you are handy with a wrench this is not a bad job, just be sure to safely use jack stands to support your trailer.

I put a new flexride with adjustable arms set at 10 degrees up on my 13 ft boler and added 4 inch spacer. It gave me lots of extra clearance

Extra step to install the lift kit

Note that the Scamps have a "tag" welded from the axle, up to the frame to reduce floor bounce. You could cut it and then lap splice a strap in with 4 bolts, or do it the hard way, I ground it off the axle then extended it by welding on a strap. Other than that it is a bolt on project. I measured from the brake plates to the front jack to get the axle square on the frame again. I now have about 9,000 miles on the modification. OH, JUST ONE MORE THING, THE OLD SCAMPS HAD A WELDED ON AXLE.
