Oliver Wow, one of the first Oliver resales I've seen.

This trailer is better built than Casita,Burro,U Haul,Scamp

I am posting this for a friend, they do not have a computer. They brought this trailer last year and have only slept in it 6 times. They are both retired and have decided that their days for Rving are done. This trailer is in like New condition with about every option there is, even a King Dome Satellite system, flat screen tv with vcr, air conditioning. I have been inside the trailer and can tell you it is a very nice, spotless unit. Their lost is your gain, their price is thousands of dollars less than a new trailer. They will be going home and leaving Quartzsite by April. 1, 2009. Call them with any questions at 928-927-4525 before 7pm, they are not late night people!

This travel trailer sleeps up to 3 people and has a bathroom.
These pictures were taken from the Oliver website and not the trailer they are selling. Thier fabric is better looking than the one in the picture.

I have sent them an email and requested their price. We'll see if we get an answer I'll post it. They do say the price will be several thousand less then new. At least the New Olivers should have moved on so they don't have to compete.

How is this a sale price really? As I said before there was no one to talk with when I went by.

Because they're an expensive trailer to begin with. The Oliver website has this:

We have 1 2008 show unit Oliver Legacy Elites with a whopping $6,000 to $7,000 discounts placing their cost to you around $25,000 for a fully loaded unit. These will not last long with spring around the corner so call today for more details

So, I'm thinking $31,000-$32,000 new and the one listed above says "They brought this trailer last year and have only slept in it 6 times." Plus they added a "king dome satellite system cost them $1,673.00"

Alexandra,

as Donna noted, they are spendy to begin with. If this is an '08 Elite 17' with all the extras it is a good price compared to a brand new one from the factory in Tennessee. But it is still way too much $$$$$ for me.

As far as the ad states - QUOTE "This trailer is better built than Casita,Burro,U Haul,Scamp" UNQUOTE - my research has found that this translates into EXTRA WEIGHT right from the get go, even without all the extra features added on. This seems to have been a sore spot for Oliver from the start as early on I found it was hard to get them to be specific about weight, and now they spec beefier axles on the 17' units (5000#) if I recall correctly. My searchings have found them to be more upfront -now- about pricing and weight than when I started my trailer search. Both price/weight for the Oliver were/are on the high side for what I was looking for so they didn't stay on my list for long, but to each their own choices.

Anything one wants to know about Oliver can easily be found at their site - last time I looked for curiosity sake it was more detailed, and they have a 'forum' for Oliver owners that can be interesting to skim through. Pics of actual owners' trailers on the forum too per your question of 'what they really look like'. http://www.olivertraveltrailers.com (EDIT: fix link)

My wife, Tali and I bought our Oliver nearly a year ago. We could not be happier with it. Prices have gone up significantly since then. That's unfortunate because it really is a quality built piece of equipment with every bell and whistle you can imagine. If anyone would like pics, I will be glad to share. They are heavy. We had bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to pull it with. We struggled thru OK and TX headwinds on our way to CO this past October getting less than 12 MPG. We have since gotten rid of the Jeep and now have a Yukon XL that could haul 2 of them up a 60% grade at 70MPH and still get 15MPG (probably not, but it is better than the Jeep.)

The "new" price is more than my first house....arrg. Wait my first house had no AC that must be the difference.
