You're right. I added snap caps to everything but the belly band, windows
and awning rail. It probably didn't need it, but I added a drop of Dicor sealant to the rivet heads on the awning rail.
AS I remember I replaced well over 100 rivets.
The PO had an awning rail bolted to the roof and all the bolts leaked.
That was removed, sealed and riveted.
The door window and both side windows were removed, sealed and re-riveted.
The refrigerator vents, stove vent, heater exhaust vent, electric cord hatch, and water fill were all re-riveted.
The PO also had about 10 rivets he put through the hull for no apparent reason.
I think I replaced more on the 13 than I did when I replaced all the rivets and snap caps on my 16.

I owned a 1995 Scamp Deluxe with the wood interior. It did not have rivets under the caps but screws into wood interior. Some parts on the sides had rivets.

I also have a Deluxe and Scamp uses rivets for all the curtain rod holders. A ton of useless holes IMHO.

Scamp #56 rivet fits the stove base to cabinet counter top. It is right diameter of 5/32 and needs to grip a little more than 3/16 of an inch. It is a little long and can benefit from grinding or cutting a bit of the barrel off with the mandrel removed.

My stove base and cabinet top it mounts in were .19 inches. So between 3/16 and 13/64 of an inch. Or between 4.76 mm and 5.19 mm a rivet with a grip of 5 mm or 5.5 mm would probably be a pretty good choice. Mind that is grip length not body length.

I find Scamp no longer sells the small white snap caps. My camper originally has those on the rivets holding on the curtain rod supports. The two rivets are pretty close together for larger snap caps.

Actually my camper originally didn't have snap caps but if you bought a full replacement set from Scamp it used to have the small caps and bases for the small rivets used on those curtain rod brackets. I think with wear and replacement of the rivets over the years it needs snap caps to improve the water tight seal.

Scamp suggested using the large snap cap bases which have the same size hole for the rivet (or machine scew) to go through and using all large snap caps. If I didn't already have all good machine screws and snap cap bases installed and was doing it from scratch I would.

As it is I'm going to look for another seller since the snap cap by design gets destroyed by sun and weather so the cap under it doesn't get damaged. I have good cap bases and fasteners I don't wish to replace. Marine store or Amazon or some vendors online will be where I'm going to try first. Found one place selling them for 10 cents a piece. Don't know what shipping is. Amazon has free shipping with prime but charges #`0 for 25 caps so.... Probably about the same.

That was the place I found on my phone and then lost Good to have that link. I just need to measure an existing cap and order but.... I suspect that with shipping the price will probably be about the same as Amazon with "free" shipping.<_<

I'll buy 34 of the right size so I can get maximum value from shipping. That is 2 complete sets. 4 at each of 4 windows plus 1 at the closet that comes in from the roof.
