Forgot the dining table/microwave section.

Small dining table added with a shelf replacing the top bunker bed hinge and added a microwave shelf with LED fixture under the shelf. We really like this setup which is optimized for 2 people only.

Very nice! Love the colors! I want to do something like that to the ugly carpet on our ceiling.

Nice work. What is the large black thing under the fire extinguisher?

Yes, yes, the two red cushions on the bed are for this purpose. I will post pics of the bed in extended position later.

Thanks. This is a Insignia DVD player. It is also connected to a second screen located on the bottom of the shelf over the bed.

Here is a pic of us in our fully extended bed. The width of the bed is the length of the normal bed. It give us plenty of space to sleep comfortably. The other pic is the normal bed (retracted) as used during the day.

Thanks, hope you will find your dream camper tomorrow. I found a lot of ideas from this forum and I will be happy if some of my ideas can be helpful to others.

The shelf is attached to the wall with a small clip and maintained horizontal by a small chain attached to the roof. I attached some pics.

Good luck tomorrow.

I cut a plywood the size needed and installed under, two aluminium tracks for the extension plywood to slide well. And to hold the extension well when dfully extended, I just made 2 holes in the framing under the cabinets (see pictures) and installed a temporary aluminium tubing. So when fully extended, the tubing support the bed extension very well. After, I cut a foam/memory foam mattress the size of the bed including 2 cushions for the bed extension. Hope it helps.

So the tubing is under the slide out and connected on each end to holes in either side wall? Interesting...Do you mostly use it like that, extended? Gives a lot more room huh. Thanks for sharing this. Clever designs.

Exactly. We tried both methods and we prefer the one with the slideout. It take less than a minute to setup and we have a better sleep with plenty of room for the upper body. I leave in a few minutes for the weekend but when I come back, if you want, I could make a small video showing how easy it is to set-up the bed.
