RV park recommendation

Reposting this because posting in the camping/campout forum did not produce any responses. I need recommendations for rv parks near Williams Gateway airport in Mesa, AZ. My son is going to fly from there on his way back to Michigan on Jan 12. Since his flight leaves at 7:15 am , I suppose he'll have to be there probably an hour early. I don't want to have to get up in the middle of the night to get him there. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks

I just did a google search for RV Parks, Mesa, AZ and came up with several. I don't live in the Phoenix area so I can't help you any further. So do the search and then research the different RV parks and make a decision. There are a couple that looks to be within a few miles of the airport.

I used Google Maps...
I found Usery Mountain - Maricopa County that appears to be the closest one to the airport. It has water & electric hookups and a central dump station.

I generally find County parks to be a good value.

Usery Park is near impossible to get into during the winter. Its a nice park, with lovely views, but every snowbird in the area knows it's cheap, close to everything and has hook ups. I spent my first nite there in the overflow area.. a big parking lot, where they line you up in arrival order. Fortunately, my friends and I were #s 1&2 in line and were able to get spots the next day. Not together, but at least we got in.

Reviews of RV Parks and Campgrounds - RV Park Reviews is always your best bet. They seem very accurate. I have researched parks I have stayed at and folks seem to be dead on with my opinions of them.

Lost Dutchman State Park is 31 minutes from the airport according to Bing Maps.

So what happened to Mr. rgrugg? He was in a hurry for a response to his question but does anyone know if he has seen the replies. Did they help any? A little common courtesy showing acknowledgement would have been nice.

Well Gage, I've been quite busy the last few days now and inconvenient to respond but the pressure is now off and I am grateful for the responses. My task now is to take the suggestions and the Trailer Life campground book and get together with mapquest. Fortunately I have over a month to get the plan together.

'Next Exit' is also a good book to get. Been to the East Coast twice with my teardrop and that book has been very helpful in showing where campgrounds and Restaurants are. Which exit to get off to get to them on major hiways. I recommend it over the Trailer Life Campground book.
