Rick's 74 Boler

I posted an update of the project in the section Mods, alterations and updates but thought I would post a few pictures here as well.

rick I have to ask what is your experience level in painting? I don't think you are a rookie!

Bob,

I have learned my limitations long ago. Once I decided to kick it up a notch
I started asking a few questions. I took it to a friend who has a sign shop installing vinyl lettering, hand paints names on boats and custom hand paints pinstripes on bikes and hot rods. His guy could paint the blend I wanted so we did it at his shop one Friday night. First we painted the top half the Pearl White. After a short break we did the Orange on the bottom and just above the middle joint. We them mixed some of the Orange and White and fogged in the middle top portion. Was fun. And it does wake you up when in the sun!

I just thought I should add that the lights I used are semi truck and trailer lights. I wanted them white and when on they are red.

Hi Rick,

Did you know that there will be a big party to celebrate Boler's 50th anniversary this August?

I got clear lenses for my clearance lights and colored LED bulbs. Same concept as your tails. The clear lenses would look good on your trailer as well in my opinion.

Steve,

I did that on the side marker lights as well. Like the tail lights with red lenses contrasting with the Orange I didn't like the orange lens cover contrasting with the body color so I went with a small light that is clear but when on is orange.

You can see in the photo that I also went with a somewhat larger power plug but that was because I wanted Stainless Steel. Its one that is used on boats for shore power.
