SOLD: 81 Bigfoot for salvage

Our beloved Bigfoot collapsed when the snow melted. It had a working furnace (would sometimes lose the pilot light at night), the hot water tank was removed, stove worked and fridge did not. I don't think a huge amount of water got in as it was tarped at the time. We had it insured under our house insurance (only for 5k. Wow have eggs gone up!) so it has been written off but we get to keep her as salvage. No room for this project. Open to offers

That totally sucks!
Can you post pictures? Would help to determine if it is fixable.

Thanks for your sympathies. It's a huge loss. I'll try to add photos. The site keeps making me log in over and over..

It's a time sensitive issue. If no one is interested, my best course is to let the insurance company have it and then it will end up shredded. It must be useable for someone with better skills??

It's on to a new home on our street. They plan on jacking up the roof to repair it. If anyone has ant tips and tricks, I would love to pass them on. So happy our camper gets a chance to live on!

That's great news! You might just refer them to this forum and to Dave White's excellent thread You Can Repair Fiberglass.

I believe I've also seen a thread on repairing a collapsed roof specifically, but I think it was a Scamp or Boler. A Bigfoot will present some different challenges, I'm sure. I'm equally sure there are some very capable people here who will have good ideas when those challenges arise.

Always better to see a trailer rebuilt rather than torn apart.
