Easy Table for Scamp Front Sofa

Found this at Walmart for under $20, a folding table to make an impromptu front dinette in a Scamp 13 front bunk model. The height and angle are adjustable for various other uses, including outside. Very light.

The base slides into the under-sofa compartment. Plan to remove the door and trim out the opening.

Folds compactly and stores on top of a storage unit under the sofa. The storage unit weights down the table base when it's in use.

Not thrilled about the black color- a can of spray paint will fix that.

Two years ago I wrote this in the forum:

I tried two different portable / folding TV tray type tables and found that they were always in the way and not very stable. Using them, it was very difficult to get in and out of the seated position and/or it was too much trouble to set up and take down the tables.

One of the tables that I tried, and that I was referring to in that quote, looks very much like the one you got a Walmart. But it was wider at the legs and when set up the legs would not fit on the porta-potty cubie until I cut away some of the fiberglass. Another problem I had with it was specific to me... my dog insists on being on the sofa and the table then got in the way.

The one you have looks a little sturdier and for occasional use, it looks like a winner. For day to day use, I still prefer the Lagun Swiveling Cockpit Table.

I do remember when you went through that process. The Lagun is a Cadillac solution, and justified for regular use. We'll see if this will work for occasional use.
