Escape Trailer Front Window Covering - Mechanism Broken

Hi Everyone out there
I bought an 13 foot escape trailer Oct 2018.
When I bought it, one of the "mechanisms" holding the window cover down was broken - No pin, no spring, or whatever else is supposed to be there. Now the other side has broken. Something flew off - so I just have the "pin and a spring on that side that doesn't work. So there is nothing holding the cover down. When I was as ETI right after I bought it, they said that they don't make that type of mechanism anymore. Any ideas what I can do to fix or jerry rig it? Must be fairly easy or with good explanation as I am not very handy. Attached are pics of it looks like.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Claire
