F150 towing question
After three years of use I entered my trailers into the towing menu of the 2016 F150. It allows you to pre select the type of trailer, and brake voltage and other options. I thought it sounded like a great Idea. BUT, every time I started the engine that screen came up and I needed to pick a trailer before I could get my day to day driving screen back. Has anyone used the menu and had it start on the screen was last used? After two days I deleted the trailers from the memory.

We have a 2015 F150. If the camper is hooked up it always starts on the screen for my camper (I named the camper Escape50 at the setup area). I like that I know my camper is properly hooked up. After the camper startup screen I have to toggle to the screen I want. After about 40,000 miles of pulling four different campers with the F150, I'm OK with that routine.
Enjoy,
Perry

F150 towing memory fix
After striking out in the owner’s manual and failing to find it I started searching online. After a going down LOT of “rabbit holes” I found it in a Ford group.
It was right there in front of me whole time and I still did not see it. I selected “NO ACTIVE TRAILER” and now all is well.

Not sure about your truck but on my 2016 it also keeps track of miles that you’re actually towing trailer. Comes in handy to keep track of maintenance stuff. If you don’t do the no active thing I think the mileage will accumulate with no trailer.

Ours doesn't accumulate when their is no trailer.
On our 2015 F150 only when the camper is plugged into the pickup does it accumulate miles.
Whenever the trailer is disconnected from the F150 there is no mileage accumulated. I don't have to do anything. And yes, I've checked to make sure it is not accumulating miles when disconnected.
We bought our Escape 5.0 a year ago last Friday, and have 18,600 miles towing down the road.
Enjoy,
Perry

You covered some miles, we have only racked up 12k in 2 seasons now. We definitely have to get out more. As to the odometer thing, have to check it next time out. Would have sworn that it was still adding miles. But then again the system was smart enough to tell me I had a tail light out so maybe I’m 😳 wrong.
