1973 Play Pac Trailer For Sale $2950
Southern Oregon Coast
We are moving up to a Toyota Sunrader 18' fiberglass mini motorhome, so are parting with our PlayPac.
Tows great, 2" ball and 4 connector flat plug
Just renewed 2 year Oregon license
Nearly new tires, fair spare
Solar electric system with 40 watt panel and 400 watt inverter
Wired for 110 AC and 12V
Insulated with 1 1/2" Polystyrene
Porta Potti in closet
Mr. Heater
Partially original interior
Dome skylight (somewhat scratched up and hazy)
Roof vent
Built-in rear stabalizer jacks
Very light weight, we towed behind a Subaru Forester just fine
Very campable, but she still needs some work. The exterior shows it's age, with minor cracks in the fiberglass and mars. The roof had sagged badly so I added stiffening fins on top. There are still some minor leaks somewhere, either on top or more likely in the windows. These are original, but the plexiglas is scratched and rough, not broken. 3 windows open fine, the drivers side is siliconed shut. The door doesn't close tight at the top and bottom, could use some stiffening on the inside, I never got around to it. It does have the key and locks up fine. We have had some leaking around the door and windows this winter, but we did get 6" or rain in 24 hours once and we normally get over 90" every year, so it is a challenging environment! The floor has been replaced and is solid.
The water system has been disconnected, tank is still there. We just used jugs.
No cushions, we used an inflatable mattress. There's a nice, custom built, heavily insulated ice-box, but I could include a working, small propane/12V refrigerator which could fit below the 2 burner stove. The wheel bearings were repacked last summer. Ready to tow anywhere.

It's set up to use the table top and another small section I store in the closet, to make a bed thats 54" wide and 77-78" long (the sides bulgle out slightly on this design). It would be very easy to make another section to fit between the bench sides to make it 66" wide. There are no cushions in it presently, we've used an inflatable that we are keeping.

I've added more photos and info on my website, Play Pac Lightweight Trailer for Sale
The weather is finally getting better, sunshine for the next few days here. Take a drive out to the beautiful Oregon coast and take a look at my little Play Pac. You can camp in it all the way home!
Meanwhile I'm learning about the joys of having a motorhome instead of a trailer Valves to adjust, timing chain to replace, rear springs to re-arc...

And that's only the beginning. Put the for sale sign in the money pit and keep the trailer.

Actually Greg, it's not! This is a fiberglass bodied 1984 Toyota Sunrader with a 22R engine. Fully self contained, only 17 foot 8 inch long and it has belonged to a close friend for many years, so I know it well. My Honda Pilot with the Play Pac behind is 30 feet long and it gets about 14 mpg. The Toyota gets 16 in the mountains and 21mpg on the freeway. It is slow though! Only 97hp, but we aren't in a hurry anyway.
This will make dry camping in the national forest much easier and it's got just that much more space, with the bed over the cab, so we don't have to make the bed to use the table! This is a big deal, as my wife is a "night person" and I normally get up at 4am Everything else has been gone through and all works like new otherwise, so I know pretty close to exactly what it needs. There will be times when we miss the Play Pac though, like when we are out and set up, and need to run to a store!

Leaks around door and roof are fixed, found a pinhole next to the back side of the dome skylight, caused by some dang silicone that I missed when I resealed it. Obviously, the caulk didn't stick in that one small spot, which was loose on one edge. Of course, the several inches of rain in the last 2 weeks didn't help!

They always remind me of Huey,Dewey and Luey... the robots from the Bruce Dern film "Silent Running"
I love that trailer, but it is on the other side of the world from me

Price drop to $2750
I'm lowering the price a bit, which should pay for gas from anywhere in western Oregon to come see the Play Pac and the beautiful southern Oregon coast. I haven't advertised other than here, just too busy, but now I really need to get it out of the way.
I paid $2500 for it 4 years ago, insulated it, added an ice box, heater, porta-potti, solar electric system and tires, so I don't think I'm too high priced on it! This is a great and rare little fiberglass trailer.

Hi John,
We are a couple miles south of Port Orford, up Hubbard Cr. road. This is about 28 miles south of Bandon or 60 miles south of Coos Bay.
