Rock Guard

Hi, we are proud owners of a 1970 Trillium 1300. Restoration so far has been hard work but incredibly satisfying! I am looking to make a rock guard out of a Lightleaf solar panel and am having a hard time using the search function here to see what others have done to make their own rock guards. Some links and advice would be much appreciated!

Search via google. Trillium rock guard fiberglass RV forum.

One option is to find an RV salvage yard, and use a salvage rock guard got the parts. I’m thinking of doing this for my rear window.

Hey! Did you end up making one? I actually work with LightLeaf. Would love to make this happen. Have an 80's bigfoot myself.

Haven't got my purchase home but much midnight engineering plan to use snap fastners, plastic cardboard and material cover to make mine. Easy to do, to store and cheap
Do a Google search. Instructions are out there.

Rockguard Solar Panel

Hello- This is probably a dumb question: Are there concerns over a solar panel rockguard being chipped by rocks? Will there be an additional cover to protect the solar panel while underway?

Angle aluminum and a piano hinge are available at Home Depot. The support arms can be found at Vintage Trailer Supply.

While I've seen people use plastic sheet goods for the actual guard, I would look for someone replacing a fiberglass tub surround. Probably free for the taking.
