Well I don't know if my pics are actually going to upload to the message but I'll give it a shot anyhow. What I ended up doing was making a contoured center "beam" out of plywood that I attached to the closet on passenger side and cabinet on driver's side. I added some framing so I wasn't relying solely on the ensolite to support my beam. It turned out pretty great, the major sag I had in my roof has been removed allowing me to install a maxxfan without worry of causing issues with water build up on the roof.
Part 2 of this post is in regards to the two side
windows on the body of my rig. So i took them out, cleaned, and rehung them as I was getting some leaking from where the old rivets and tape were sh*tting the bed. Instead of re-riveting, I used butyl tape and used stainless steel wood screws from the outside going into 3/4 ply picture frame on the inside. Everything is tightened up and it looks good... But I'm wondering if anyone has ideas for a "finished" look over the outside flange of the
windows? I have the old snap-in plastic trim that was covering it before, but to me that is a little cheap looking. It looks pretty good as is with the clean frame and SS screws, but I'm just curious to hear if anyone has come up with any slick alternatives. Thanks!
