After 5000 miles and about 2 weeks, i can say that all of the ideas work well and were a success. We did not have a problem with the paper towels unrolling even though I forgot to put a rubber band on them. The garbage solution worked very well and was out of the way.
Gilda, we did actually use the baking pan as a serving tray as well!

I also bring a couple of those "Sham-wows" with me. They work really great and are cheap enough when bought on sale or in bulk to be disposable.

We liked it so much that I got another one and put it in the Boler. I mounted it vertically on the bed side of the closet (up high enough to keep it out of the way but low enough to allow the roll to slip on).

Oh! OH! I want to get in on securing the paper towel roll too!
The ratchet thingy is cool and a most ideal design, but I wanted a certain bamboo aesthetic that required the use of a thin dowel for dispensing.
Jamming a large safety pin into the roll before going underway, no matter how fat or skinny the roll is, works every time.

The dometic fridge takes about 10 amps, 10 amps x 12v = 120 watts, even with a tow package my cars alternator is 150 amps, and thats for the car and camper, no way that will work long term for powering the fridge. It worked great on propane and i didn't feel it wasn't safe, it is a small flame and there is a gas safety valve for if the flame blows out.
Also, the rear view camera worked great, especially for backing up. Here is a screen shot of my phone running the rear view camera app along with the torque obd app for some other information.

paper towel roll....
we all have to "work with what we got".....
in my case I have a little half counter to the right of the sink....I took the mounted paper towel holder off and switched to a stand-up holder....
the paper towel roll, the disinfectant wipes container and the usual loaf of bread make great "stuffers" in the overhead cabinet to keep things in place while travelling

We also went with the vertical mount for the paper towels. You can see the empty holder just left of the faucet. In addition to no unroll during travel it also seems make the space seem a bit more open.

Great ideas! As a somewhat new 2016 Scamp 13 owner, always looking for things like this. May I ask how you attached the mirror to the closet door? I was also thinking of a longer mirror that may go on the bathroom door. Sure wish Scamp had an option like that when it was being built.

I used double-sided tape. The mirror is plexi. Much lighter and safer than glass.

Keeping the ideas going, today i installed a Honeywell th1000 pro thermostat. It controls the furnace as well as the a/c (via solid state relay). Works well from my initial testing, it uses 2 aaa batteries.

This one was purchased at Walmart and while it is not full length, it does give a full length view when standing in front of it.
It is attached with through the door screws into the frame using snap caps for a completely factory look. It has been in place for well over a decade now and we love it...

I noticed things were shifting out of place under the bed sometimes so i bought some short twist-lock shower rods, going to test them out on the next camping trip.
