can I use this grease for Scamp wheel bearings?

Wondering if this Marine grease is acceptable for my 2010 13' Scamp bearings (no brakes)

I want to grease up a set of bearings and keep them in a zip lock bag for any on road emergencies.

That is fine for wheel bearings. Most owners overthink grease.

I could not help but notice that the label on the grease you asked about says this:

Consult your owners manual for proper lubrication protection.

And indeed, my axle manual lists four or five brand names and product names for "approved" grease. So if there is any concern about compatibility, you could just go with that (assuming a PO has not switched to an incompatible grease). While perhaps most people overthink grease, some don't think about it enough. See many online references such as:

Dexter recommends a no.2 lithium based grease. I don't see that in the description. While a tube is cheaper, a can is easier. Last time I bought some it was about five bucks at any parts store.

From what I understand (I'm not a mechanic), you never want to mix different types of grease. But normally one would wash out all the old grease from the bearing and race, inspect them, and re-lube it with the new grease... so there would not be any mixing. And in the case of total replacement of the bearing and race, there will not be mixing of greases. The problem of mixing can occur with EZ Lube hubs or Bearing Buddies, wherein the person just pumps more grease into existing grease through a zerk.

With that caveat, the Mystik in question does state that it is for wheel bearings, so I see no problem with using it.

Heck, been mixing oils and greases for 60+/- years, lots of urban myths about oil and grease compatibility.
You can use vaseline on most bearings in a pinch (if the parts store is more than a short walk away).

Mystik is fine for bearings, although I use Royal Purple Ultra Performance Synthetic.

Grease is oil in a carrier aka thickener.
Different carriers release and absorb oil at different temperatures.
Mixing greases of different carriers can result after several cycles in one type getting runny and the other getting dry.
It is not a myth, you should not mix greases with different bases.
Since almost all are Lithium based nowadays. I say stick with lithium to avoid trouble.

What is the official name of the rubber covers that cover the EZ Lube nipple? One of mine is cracked.

Its a #2 lithium grease your good to go. Just clean out all the old stuff.

Z; if it's a Dexter axle you can get the rubber covers on Amazon. Listed as Dexter axle rubber grease cap hub dust covers (something like that). Oddly they come in a pack of 5.
