How about building a portable step ( cover top w/carpet )
I made mine so that when flipped over i could car my leveling blocks/extension cord/water hose
All of the last things I load ( no pictures cause it is a very basic wooden box ... plus it went w/ my trailer when I sold it)

I made a step for my mom over 20 years ago for getting into my sister's van. We still use it for the trailer but when it's wet out, we are in the Pacific NWet, we just use this plastic step.Click image for larger version

Harbor Freight sells a one step folding stool at a low price ($8). Take a coupon with you and pay less. 300 pound rating, about 8 1/2 inch height. Use their 20% off coupon, and a free LED flashlight (decent!) and save even more.

I use a plastic milk crate turned upside down for my '86 Cadet. It's light, strong and drains well. When it's right side up it provides good storage.

I ordered one of these because it was a large size that I wasn't worried about tipping when I stepped on it and am real happy with it.

DIY Step

Hello,

Since a step would make egress from my Trillium easier
one was fabricated from some scrap wood on hand.

Dimensions:

Height 6 "
Top 16" X 12"
Base 24" X 20"
Cost $5 > $10 ?

2x2s and a scrap of 3/4" plywood, glue, screws, paint,
and nonskid self adhesive strips. It lives inside the door of the
trailer while towing. It is very stable = no rocking...

Take Care,
Uncle Larry

I think step covers is important for rvs. Some people might think they do not need RV step rugs to determine that they are wrong because these items are indeed useful. Note that having the best RV step covers does more than acting like a doormat for your RV. It can also help improve the grip of your shoes on the steps.
