Joanne,
I hate to say this but a better question is, "Doe any Uhaul owner NOT have leaking windows?" Well, some would answer that they do not.
Several members have undertaken to fix the leaky windows. If you search for Bridget and you will find a wonderful explanation of how to fix leaky windows (using a butter knife ). The person who posted this is actually listed as Bridget T, but without the T, you get several postings of people talking about fixing leaky windows.

Are the weep holes at the bottom of the window tracks clear? If not the water may go in rather than out. When these were new they had covers that pointed down and provided some capillary action to clear the holes. I think you can find weep hole covers on google / eBay. I have seen two sizes, though.
You could start by checking the channels for caked on dirt.
Regards,
Matt

Before replacing the windows I would reseal them- here is a video on how to do that. The windows may leak but then will allow the water weep out thru weep holes, they are built this way. As long as water is not getting inside the trailer they are fine. Here is the link http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ows-48009.html

We had to seal all our windows, and did so inside and out, making sure the drains were cleared... And testing several, several times.

Just be careful about putting caulk and stuff over the outside of the window frame. Eventually it will fail and then you'll have a mess to clean up. You may want to look at moving the bulk of the water around the window. Check out this link: The Original RV and Marine Gutters
You can purchase a 10' section at Camping World. Cheap compared to damage or aggrevation! EZE RV Gutter System, 10' - Product - Camping World

I installed the CW gutters over all my windows and hatches on my Eggcamper, no leaks. They come in 2 colors, bright or antique white.

"installed over the hatch"
Thanks I checked out the picture. Did you handle the windows the same way, a straight piece across the top or did you wrap the windows on three sides.

I came down maybe 2" on each corner following the curvature-look at my install of the yellow awning thread, you may see the window gutters there.

Patty, how did it work for you? Would you consider this a fairly good (temporary) solution for other Uhaul owners?

I printed off Bridget's photos and instructions (thanks for the post Bridget!) for removing, repairing and replacing the side windows for my 13 CT. It actually couldn't have been any easier to do. I had ordered the replacement felt and rubber the week before starting the windows. Once I started the project, it took me about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to do a window. That even included a new paint job. And thanks to Mike for the the new screens and window locks, they look great. So don't let the thought of redoing the windows scare you. It wasn't a hard project and you get the satifaction of doing it yourself. I'm going to tackle the back window next.

Hi Donna,
Yes, definitely a good temporary solution for these windows. Mine have been resealed, but I am still keeping these gutters on. Also, they are super easy to install.

Wow Marty! Took forever for me! I even conned my son & a carpenter friend to do them. Took 2 weekends ..Guess they were slow.
