TV/Radio over the air antenna

With no direct cable available at the campsite, which model of roof antenna have you been most pleased with.....including reception, durability, finish, etc....

Bigfoot offers the "crank up " antenna. Just wondering if there is another choice.

For TV.. the King Jack seems to be the top choice, with the Winegard Rayzar or Sensar also popular.

But don't you know that you are supposed to leave the TV at home! Really.. enjoy nature (even if you are in a Walmart parking lot)..

But since I don't judge, I just tried to answer your question before the naysayers came in.

We have the King Jack antenna for TV reception and a short universal mount type radio antenna. The King Jack has a built in amplifier that feeds through the coax cable and requires a 120V outlet.

Actually the King Jack antenna is a 12 volt system, 120 volt.

I like the crank up antenna due to I can lay it down flat for covering the camper easier. Plus I bought the sensarPro to boost the signal. Make sure whatever antenna you get, that it has at least UHF capabilities.

The best antenna ever made is a piece of wire on a pole. Or you can spend $$ on a commercial equivalents in a nice looking packages.

We use a regular $6 pair of rabbit ears on a pole. Local reception is great!

I believe the King Jack is powered by 12v DC. The 120volt outlet is likely for powering the television.

Now I have a dilemma. Should I have spent the $$ I spent on my King Jack Antenna which is amplified and pulls in far more stations than my first “home built” antenna, or should I have saved the $$ to purchase dry land in South Florida (specifically, the Everglades)?
