Hi all, had the trailer for about a year and a half and at last she is in good enough condition to show off.

I'm rough shape when I bought her we gutted the inside and rebuilt EVERYTHING. Built new door, added two bunks for the kids, wife did the cushions (nice 6inch memory foam mattress) and pop top surround, new paint job, rebuilt top frame etc.

It's still an ongoing project and a bunch of trim work left but here she is.

Feedback and thoughts are always appreciated!

I should mentioned that the kids got to name the trailer and went with the incredibly original: Trailee

Looks great! Just wondering... How are the adults using the main bed that’s been shortened on one side?

Yes they are. Originally there would have been storage cabinets on that side but the previous owner had removed those leaving just a big open space.

On the kitchen side we kept the original surround although we don't use the sink or stove. Still trying to work out a solution for a lightweight chuck kitchen box that can fit under the kitchen but be removed for outside use.

There is actually loads of space still, the 'short bench' is still 5'4" long and 24" wide, even if you didn't use that section the bed would be 48" wide.
My wife sleeps on that side and it isn't an issue. Two taller people would still easily fit without having to spoon, just angling yourself over to the longer section for your legs.

I actually would have made the bunks longer if it wasn't for the window.

We still have the sink in ours but no stove. We have a single burner stove that we have always used outside plus a microwave if we have power.

I suggest a modular kitchen to take outside. That can be designed to stack around the wheel well, and each section would be lighter and easier to maneuver with limited space.

You could remove the sink and the stove and put a counter top in and have empty space inside the cabinet. You could also use the countertop for storage space by adding some tie-down rings to the countertop. The rings are easy to find in hardware stores.

On the internet at various websites and also videos on youtube you can find a portable camping kitchen box to take outside. There are ready made ones and there are DIY plans. All you need is the magic keywords that will reveal what you are looking for. I am pleased to be able to share that magic trick with you.

Thanks, thats exactly what Ive been working on

I removed the stove but kept it all together in case we or another future owner might want it back, for the same reason Ive not removed the sink just put a cover over it. The annoying thing is that the plumbing under the sink take up so much space! I so badly want to cut it out, but would hate to make such a permanent decision!

I half keep in mind that the kids will outgrow the bunks at some point we'll have to switch trailers (a side entry door trailer would allow for longer bunks in the width), although finding another affordable trailer needing refurb would be like being hit by lightning twice.
