Also if getting a straight axle, would you put it also under the leaf spring or leave it on top?

Yeah not sure I've seen a post from someone who did it themselves.

As far as I know, if you went with a new axle hub to hub, it's just the brake wire and leaf springs, depending on whether you go with new springs also. Even though my new axle came with new leaf springs, the guy who did mine didn't feel comfortable welding the new springs onto my frame, so he kept my old springs in place and connected them to the new axle. Not ideal as I was hoping for new springs, but I trusted him and wasn't going to argue.

You should replace the 7 pin connector and wires back to the trailer.
Wires will meltdown under the covering. Don’t take a chance with them. It’s not that expense to replace. Check your outlets for proper polarity.

Not sure why the breaker didn’t trip on refrigerator? That needs to be addressed.

Nice camper, you did well. Stuff happens, you’ll get it figured out.

Mszabo,

Yeah, I did change the 7 pin connector on the trailer side as well as worn cable up to where it was fine, but bought more cable to replace the whole lenght later.

Its not that hard. I just replaced the axles and u-bolts. Check out my thread:

The shocks were extra and I had 2 brakes seized onto the axles. I was running out of time so I replaced them.
