Sulpher and Foaming Bigfoot 21

Finally getting to know the Bigfoot 21. We have a Water issue that someone surely has encountered. Plugged into campground water and what comes out of faucets is foamy with a strong sulphur smell. From my research, it could be anode issues or previously unflushed hot water tank. (Hydrogen Sulfide?) The Atwood manual is less than useless with no photos. ---I will take relevant pix once I cure this) Is there a process to cleaning and sanitizing? Access to water heater from inside as well as outside? And agreeing with most, drink bottled water and only use campground water for dishes and showering.

In case you haven't tried it yet, did you see what the water looks like directly from the spigot?

Sulpher water smell dealt with successfully

Checked campground water at another site. Fine taste, no smell.

From research its smell is produced in the hot water heater, sometimes
due to anode

pulled the water heater plug, emptied water heater
drained the camper water tank

I made up a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water
poured into the water fill
connected fresh water and filled camper tank

connected campground water to camper
flushed 2x

all clean
