Hey guys. I am replacing the trim on the outsidie of my windoes on my 1984 Bigfoot 17' camper. Is there an easier way to get the windows out ? I have removed the inside ring and all of its screws, now the screen and the glass are crazy difficult to come out with the plastic window tracks there. I manage to get the plastic window tracks out which was not easy. Trying to find a video for it on Yutube but that's a no go. Any tips would be great.
If your trying to get the window assembly with the aluminum frame out, after the ring is removed on the inside you will need to use a wide blade putty knife to slide in between the frame and the fiberglass body, cutting the old seal all around the window. After that the window will come out easily.
For replacement parts call sun view industries up in BC.
If it's a Hehr window there are at least 12 screws on the inside frame that hold the "sandwitch" together. once the inside frame is removed go outside and pry it off with a stiff putty knife.
