1979 Triple E Surfside colors non conducive to my sex life
Hi there,
My trailer has been painted by a previous owner with colors that are not conducive to my sex life. What is the most economical way to remove the hideous paint job and coat it with something yummy?
In particular I am looking for
a) the way to remove the existing paint
b) paint it without going to the paint shop (type of the paint, gun, etc)
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Pawel

You definitely have to add pictures so we can all see it!

Pictures, pictures, pictures. You can't make a post like that and then not show it. No fair teasing.

If the paint is in good shape might consider sanding with 600 and spraying over. Be surprise how Economical it is to get it painted with automotive finishes professionally. Especially if you do the prep work.

I am not a specialist, but the paint does not strike me as "good shape". It does not seem professionally applied...

Hmm, I am not sure what that means, but here in Vancouver, BC my gf flatly refuses any of my advances anywhere near this color scheme. She says "one day you will understand" and with a cryptic smile leads me towards our teal painted house...

Don't paint it teal or she'll wear you out!
Enjoy,
Perry

Make sure that you get your GF to pick out the colour you want to end up with. Essentially you have a "boat" with two colours and have to get a FG primer. I would take it to a boat repair shop or a car body shop that specializes in Corvettes for an estimate. Based on 2 or 3 estimates you can decide if you want to tackle the job yourself. If you are not used to a paint spray gun you might be better to use a brush/roller. It all depends on how professional you want it to look and your finances. Ideally, I would get it sand-blasted before making a decision. Your cheapest solution might be to sell it and buy one the colour your GF likes.

My sentiments exactly!
(Besides, it seems the interior colors would be more relevant to someone's amorous inclinations.)
