Trillium 5500 fridge replacement

Well, I finally got off my duff and replaced my fridge, the old one just wasn't large enough for a long trip, and it needed some cosmetics to make it decent again.
I will be posting a write-up later, but for now, here are the before and after photos:

Fridge replacement trillium 5500

Hi

I want to change my old fridge for a new one like you did.
What is the brand, the model and if you have dimension?

How did you enter the new fridge il the trailer?
By a window or by the trailer door.

I went to RV trailer saler and they told me they have to remove the back of the fridge and rebuilt it in the trailer because of the depht.

Thank's

Lyne husband (Luke)

The fridge I installed was a Norcold N3150
If you have a trillium 5500 , nothing comes off the fridge to make it fit.
The door and frame of the camper needs to be removed, and the fridge will fit with about 1/2 inch to spare.
I took the old fridge out first, then made a cardboard template of the front of the new fridge to find how it fit best for me.
I took about 4 full days to change it out, but ended up with a new, bigger fridge in almost the same opening without losing much space. I can send you a write up of how I did it if you want, send me a private message and I’ll send you a word document with lots of pictures

The exact replacement for the old RM360 are the RM2351 or RM2354, they are the exact same size.
As Joe mentioned, you will need to get the door and door frame off the trailer to pass the fridge. Much simpler than it sounds, and much less risky than dismantling the fridge itself...

update for this year:
just finished a 3 week stay on Manitoulin Island, fridge performed flawlessly, mostly electric, but ran on propane for a couple hours while waiting for a set of keys to the property, and ran on propane for a 2 hour drive home The fridge worked flawlessly, made ice cubes, and kept everything perfect on level 2, last year we had a 1-1/2 week run on propane, with the same results

Thanks for the update Joe.
The old RM360 in my 5500 still runs great, we're just back for a trip in the Sherbrooke QC area, we had temps around 30degC and everything was fine, ice stayed solid for the drinks! ;-)
