I see: base weight - 1,100 pounds

If that's correct, it's technically as heavy as any other 13 footer egg and weighs anywhere between 1400-2000 pounds in real life. Does that make sense?

The Little Joe Ponderosa has a bathroom also. Light weight but costs $17,500.....too much for such a small rig.

When we were in our search mode, looking at a Bigfoot ,18ft in Denver. The place had one of these for sale as well, actually for as little as it was it was kinda cute. Seemed like a lot of little nooks for storage etc. Too small for me, but for people who just need a place to sleep and store their stuff (I wouldn't do a lot of cooking in it.) I think it would work. But if the weight is that heavy, I agree there are better options. Robin

I have got to say that this travel trailer business is CRAZY!
We have been looking for a couple of weeks for a travel trailer small enough to pull behind our car (>2K#).
We initially stopped at Auburn RV and looked at their Chalet folding "A" shaped trailer. We stopped again recently and I tried pulling one down and setting it up. I don't think I could do this on a regular basis because I could feel it in my back. So we were at this place TWICE and now I look at the "Little Joe" website and lo and behold they have dealers and one of them is - Auburn RV. Never a mention of Weiss Trailers at the dealer. I guess the world is full of lazy (or stupid) persons, salesmen and their managers as well. Of course if Weiss is no longer making the Little Joe it would be excusable. I found that having a website doesn't always mean there is an actual company behind it.
A true sales story:
My father was a salesman for a power transmission supply house in Milwaukee. One day he discovered the phone answering persons telling customers that they didn't have an item. Dad pointed out that the correct response should be: "When do you need this?" Most times the customer didn't need the item for a few days and it could be brought in from one of the branches or their large Chicago affiliate.

The Little Joe is so small, I am thinking it would be hard to put enough stuff in it to get the weight up to 2000 lbs. Is there even room for a gray water tank? Does the bath in the Ponderosa include a toilet? Where do they put the bath? Do they put in a fridge? If so, what size? These trailers are TINY. ... At least the Lite House was, and supposedly the Little Joe is from the same mold...

Has anybody here actually looked at a Ponderosa?

I guess it all depends on what they mean by "base" weight at 1100#. Bolers and Trilliums typically had a published weight of about 900-1000 lbs which obviously didn't include much of what's supposed to be in there, even before any of the "stuff" goes in. And I doubt any of them weighs-in below 1500-1800 lbs, even without a gray water tank or toilet.
