As I recall, Bonair put a significant amount of resources into the original
Oxygen, and all of the first sixteen or twenty had to be recalled for structural issues. They continued R&D to fix those problems. According to the bankruptcy papers found online at the time of their bankruptcy, they put so much effort into the Oxygen that the rest of their line suffered, and there was a dealer backlash. They ran out of cash and good will with their dealers at about the same time. There weren't too many Oxygens produced, as I recall... perhaps a couple of hundred tops over the course of two model years.
