17' Casita locks - keyless entry + ch751 replacement

Anyone install a door lock with a pin pad or remote fob? How about replacing the generic ch751 locks?

My 2021 SD came with a non-Bluetooth Bauer.

I haven't figured out how to get it to work reliably. There's an extra keystroke necessary to "wake up" the keypad before it can accept the actual combination you've programmed into it.

Sometimes, it "wakes up", and sometimes it doesn't.

Not impressed.

Mine acts the same. I just use the kets all the time. BUT it is better than the lock the Casita came with. Well worth the upgrade.

We replaced all of our outside locks from a locksmith. We chose the locks since there are several lengths to get and the locksmith rekeyed all of them alike. He did have some that were already keyed alike but they are not ones that are mass produced like the ch751 so not everyone had to be rekeyed. That saved some money. They were US locks brand. Not all locksmiths have them. While we were at it we had enough done for our RV with the same key. We carry some of the ch751's just in case one would go bad we could still have a lock available. A little piece of mind since you can't go to any dealer, locksmith or key place and pick one up over the counter.

We’ve had no issues with the Bauer keypad lock that came with our 2020 Liberty, other than sometimes having to tap the bottom buttons twice to lock it. Never is a key but have one hidden outside in case of battery failure.
