1975 Amerigo Truck camper Reno HELP!

I have long wanted a vintage camper to hit the open road with my husband and our daughter (almost one) We like be in remote sites so upon finding the Amerigo my husband an I fell in love with size and possibilities. BUT although the camper appears in fair condition we are lost on WHERE TO START an how far to dig in and how to know how deep some past visible water damage goes. We are hoping some of you veterans could give any advice, pictures, or just moral support!

Thank you

Start with the truck.

Make it "trail capable" given the additional weight of your new toy!

1973 Amerigo slide in

Hello:
Wife and I just purchased a 1973 slide in camper. picked it up for $500.00
currently redoing the upholstery. put in new flooring. pained the walls.
every thing seems to work. need to take a better look at the tanks. if anyone have any of the service manuals that may help.

I hate to get rid of any parts that may be needed by others. the frige. i and the heater were taken out. ill be posting pics soon. Hope to get ideas and some input. not much out there on these campers.
