Darwin,
It wasn't a dirt road but it was an abandoned strip mall...

So your point stands... of course, when it is too dark to see the roof structure it is also too dark to see the paper map. So we were pretty well done for...

I could sit and watch these all day, ...OK, so I have!

Glad they couldn't get me in. I called another shop across from Camping World and they fit us in and had it fixed the same day. Had to wait a few hours for a new toilet from out of town that they actually sent a person to go buy but at least they had it fixed and never had another problem.

Mike and Jann,
Thanks for the word to the wise!

Santa Clarita campingworld ended up doing right by us for the fan. But was hard to work with at first. Will be waiting in the AC until after we get back home to Portland. So we can (and will) shop around!

So far so good in the mini-monsoon currently dumping on LA!

WE were in Tenn by Tellico lake staying at Lotterdale RV right on Lake Tellico .Great place .Back to GPS story wanted to look at new camping area so we went up to Indian boundary park almost on the border of NC and TENN. what a beutiful lake and campsites .Coming back almost in dark we followed our trusty Garmin GPS . The D--- thing took us down a mountain trail for goats or horses Thanks goodness we did not have our Lil Snoozy with us at the time .to major This was a very scary road especially in the dark . My Tom -Tom never would do this but Garmin does .I have to remember to change settings when travelling .
