We haven't seen our daughter and her husband for a while so we did a hop over to Tucson today. We plan on staying for a few days then drive on over to California to see Blue Jean's mom, who we have not seen since xmas. We had a good drive. The desert from Las Cruces to Tucson is really green and with quite a lot of wildflowers in bloom. In places, there are poppies blooming. Very nice drive today. About 4 hours and 15 minutes, 271 miles. Our son-in-law will be flying to March Air Force Base tomorrow for his Air Force Reserves weekend. Our daughter had a surprise for us, a Happy Anniversary Cake she made in the shape of a Scamp Travel Trailer. 16 Aug will be our 40th Anniversary. She really did a great job on it.

We wanted to see what it tasted like and had to cut it. It was delicious.
