A Stiff Door and Parkliner News

I have a Parkliner with a sticky door hinge.....it has the separate screen door with 3 multi fingered hinges....that has a pin about 1/4" x 4-5"... I tried knocking the pin out but it wouldent move and of course WD40...it has a plastic plug at one end....any info about type of lub to use?...should I use a air hammer on the pin? Any help is appricated....Now the news about Parkliner...I heard that Trillium (sp?)of Canada, bought the molds and remaining stock....thats all I know...

Just remove the whole hinge, apply light oil, If it doesn't loosen up, buy a new one.
We Parkliner owners can enjoy having a rare breed!

Remember that we always have a resource in Aaron McGhee, the former operations mgr at Parkliner, who built our Parkliners. He now works at Camping World in Colfax NC. If you get with him he can advise.

Where can we get a hinge for our Parkliner?

The whole door lifts off of the exterior hinge. It is a two piece assembly the door side and the shell side.

You are talking about the screen door.
try removing each hinge, one at a time, to determine which one is sticking.
Apply light machine oil at the joints (WD40 is not a lubricant) and work it back and forth. If that doesn't work, buy a new hinge.

WD40 is a solvent, that REMOVES lubricant. And it’s very good at that task, although there are better products like PB Blaster, Kroil is better yet. None lubricate.

Oh my goodness, apparently WD-40 is not aware of this, you'd better let them know.

And, it's an insect repellent.
Or, spray it in your armpits and repel people.
Water is also a lubricant. but doesn't stink.

As I recall the original Parkliner door hinge was made using a universal joint from Lowes, fabricated in house. Like a Scamp door, the hinges are not parallel. While there was talk of someone making them, I'm not sure that ever happened. The later version with the flat door used a commercial hinge that should be easy to replace.
