Trillium

Hello, we are very familiar with Scamps, having owned and loved a 13’ std for seven years and making several alterations and repairs to it and then selling it because we wanted something a bit bigger. Well, tomorrow we will be looking at a 2013 Trillium 4500, possibly to buy. Would anyone like to give me some idea of what things are different about the Trillium compared to the Scamp? Hubby already noticed from the photos that there are no rivets visible on the outside, and the shape has some different curves to it.
Thanks!

It’s a great design with a full bathtub fiberglass floor. Cabinets are bonded to the shell, so no rivets. Nice sized bed for a small trailer, and lots of windows and ventilation all around. Front toilet is uncommon.

Only warning is Sidekicks got a reputation for assembly defects and eventually closed shop. Hopefully the previous owner sorted out all the bugs, but test everything.

Trailer: Trillium 2010

Trilliumrv made trailers in California for a few years. Then production moved to Arizona and for a brief time they were sold at dealers. The molds were sold to Great West Vans and the Trillium Sidekick was produced starting 2014, I believe. I have a 2010 13'. Build quality was horrible. Numerous problems, the worst was multiple leaks along the belly band. Trilliums have a plywood floor between two fiberglass panels. If water gets in there the floor can rot.

I'm guessing a 2013 was made in Arizona. Look for a sticker on the drivers side front. The 15' has a full size bed and a little more space in the front. Unfortunately the front toilet takes up space where a front dinette could go, so you have to use the rear dinette which requires tearing down the bed. Finally the windows are a Hehr jalousie. Four sides of ventilation that can be open when raining.

I repaired the defects on mine and currently have over 85k miles on the trailer. When I bought mine, they were making the molds for the 15' or I would have bought one for the larger bed. I would have ordered a front dinette model with no shower and no AC. Good luck. Raz

Thanks for the tips! The trailer was really nice and in great condition. I really liked the roominess of the 15’. We decided to pass, but someone is going to get a wonderful Trilly, and my list of trailer needs is being further refined.
Thanks all,
