New ParkLiner Prices
The new ParkLiner 16 is a beautiful trailer, but I notice that it is significantly more expensive than Casitas, Scamps, or other fiberglass trailers. Is there anything in the design of the ParkLiner that would justify this higher cost?

A significant part of the price now, is dealer markups.
They no longer sell factory direct.

The double hull design adds production cost and it seems more nicely finished than garden variety Scamps. I'll also guess there were some R&D costs they were trying to recoup.
I say "were" because it's out of production, and I would expect some discounting of the remaining unsold inventory. Wonder how many are still out there?
Bob, are you looking at a new one from a dealer or a resale?

I did not check, Bob, but Parkliner never updated their website when they WERE in business so I doubt they ever will now. Too bad.

purchase
I purchased one of the last new Parkliners out there in feb of this yr. I paid 22000.00 for it but am sure i got a deal as they are no longer making Parkliners. In fact the web site was never updated when Liberty bought out Parkliner.

Parkliner’s warranty is just as sound as any other Fiberglass trailer manufacturer’s .Buying factory direct only works if the purchaser lives next door to the factory otherwise plan on doing your own warranty work

Oh Bull.
Appliances are covered by the manufacturer. Dometic, for instance has thousands of authorized service centres in North America.
When it comes to the trailer itself, Escape pays for warranty work that is done by a local-to-you shop. You need to discuss with Escape prior to having the work done.
Such a shop may not be close you you, if you choose to live in the boonies, but neither are groceries.

1) I never mentioned any trailer manufacturer except Parkliner so you made an assumption
2) The closest Dometic Service Center is 200 miles from my home so hardly local
We do have a grocery store about 15 miles away
3) Taking your FG trailer to your local RV repair / dealer only works if you have one in the area and they are willing to do the work . The dealer near me has enough work with warranty work on the trailers he sells . It’s more of a we will get to it if and when we get to it .
4) We do not live in the “BOONIES” , we live in rural America as many people do.
I stand by my statement , The warranty on a FG trailer is basically a useless piece of toilet paper . Until trailer warranties are similar to new vehicle warranties ( Bumper to Bumper) and there is a trailer lemon law , the consumer is on the hook for the bill !
No more will I be Baglowed on this or other forums !!

It's not an assumption. It's an example.

I saw one on the lot in Rutland, VT. last week. I didn't stop to look but I assume it's new as they were a dealer.

I have a 2013 for sale if ur interested. They are very solidly built. Scamps are not in the same class. Casitas are a much better apples to apples comparison. Check out fiberglassclassified.com if ur interested.

Hi Bob from another Bob Reed. We have had ours for about two years and love it. I have made mods such as shelving, hinges to prop up doors, holders on the bumper for sewage hoses, and compartment bulkheads for the overhead cabinets. Our only wish is that the fridge had a freezer. They are very well made, more open looking inside than Scamps or Casitas. I don't think you would have regrets buying a Parkliner.

Where are you located? I'm in the market for a Parkliner, depending on your location where I could drop by and check it out.

WTHEGG, your 2013 Parkliner. Where are you located? I'm in the market for a Parkliner and depending on your location, I'd like to drop by and look at it. Is it still available?

WTHEGG, thanks. It's a bit away. I have no clue how to pm, or to start a new thread ::sigh: . I think I'll wait to see if I can get something closer, or check that place out in Vermont that sells new. Need to find the price of a new one though <groan>. Thanks again.
