So I'm out in the driveway this weekend
painting the
Eco. A man out walking his dog sees me and asks if he can have a peek inside. This isn't exactly unusual -- I think I have to stop working about every 15 or 20 minutes for some neighbor who wants to ask questions or take a look, or just give a big thumbs-up, especially now that it's starting to look better.
He asks me what it is, and I launch into my "It's an
Eco, which was made in Nebraska for a few years and is a copy of the
Boler blah blah blah" speech, when he interrupts me at "Nebraska" to say "Aurora, Nebraska, right?"
I'm kinda taken aback that he knew that, I say "yes, that's right" and he goes on: "I'm from Aurora. My uncle had one of these for years. Later on, after they'd stopped making these, I worked in the factory."
Just one of my neighbors, out walking his dog. Small world!
