Just bought an Amerigo

Hello all,

I'm new to both fiberglass RVs and this forum. I just bought a 1976 16ft Amerigo. It's in pretty good shape over all, but could use some light restoration on the inside. Any advice or tips with Amerigos would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sounds like you bought the Amerigo that has been for sale in KY for a while????
Most repairs on molded fibergalss RV's (FGRV's) are fairly generic, with little that will pertain to only one brand. Put up some specific questions and you will get a lot of replies.
Hope you like your Amerigo, as everyone here abouts knows, I am also looking for an FG-16 as well to add to my fleet.

Unfortunately the wife's not thrilled about this purchase, and really wants a newer pop-up instead, so we'll see how this goes.

Jakob, take her camping when it's raining... watch all the people folding up their pop-ups while you sit and watch out the window knowing when you get home everything is dry... and have a big smile!
