Happy New Year! Yes, I realize that this post is OLD but I was able to resolve my
lighting issue with my 2006
Scamp 16' with the NT model
furnace.
I tried purging the LP lines and checked the
battery (which was low).
I took the cover off the
furnace and accessed the Igniter Electrode which seemed relatively dirty but otherwise unharmed.
I thought about it as a spark-plug and if anyone has ever re-gapped their spark-plugs in a car or truck it can make a world of difference on how it makes their vehicle run.
So I re-gapped it and brought it a hair closer to the burner assembly. Put it back together and boom! (not literally) The thing fired right up.
No holding your hand over the exhaust or anything!
