1976 Ventura 400B Door Question

Hi there,

I’m Jim and my wife and I just bought our first trailer and it’s an oldie!

It’s mostly original and has been prettied up rather nicely inside but the door needs to be addressed ASAP. It looks like someone just installed an interior hollow core closet door and as you can imagine…it’s not holding up so well…

If someone could let me know the dimensions of a proper door that’d be greatly appreciated! I’m guessing the originals were approximately 1 5/8” thick? This door is another 1/2” thicker than that so it’s protruding beyond the drip edge and expanding nicely with all that rain water pouring in from the top.

I rebuilt the door with the existing metal frame from the aluminum door with wood, and then did fiberglass over it. I can try to measure thickness tomrorow for you. If you haven’t already figured out the door situation ? Sorry this reply might be a month too late! Lol
