Who can I hire in the PNW to work on our Bigfoot 17?
Our Bigfoot 17 is in pretty good shape overall, but it has some deferred maintenance, in particular the belly band and windows need resealing.
I've read up on how to do it, and while it looks straightforward, it also looks time consuming.
I've got four young kids and a job that keeps me hopping, so finding that time is very difficult.
However, I'm a little concerned about hiring a random RV repair person, given all the horror stories I see about them using silicon rather than butyl.
Does anyone on here have recommendations for someone I could hire to do this work? (Or anyone on here interested?)
I'd be willing to travel anywhere from Portland up to Vancouver BC to find the right repair person. I'd pay well for the work, I just want to make sure it's done in a quality manner.

You might want to call the Bigfoot dealership in Everett. I contacted them for fiberglass repair referrals and they were happy to provide me with resources.

Not sure how far you are from Sumas WA but getaway RV is just across the border. They have a great RV shop and are Bigfoot dealers.

We only want the best for our “Bigfoots”
For the windows... contact Dave Root RV Glass Repair and window creep
DaverootRVglassrepair@gmail.com
Located in La Pine Oregon
Drakes RV Repair (David)
Pendleton Oregon
Not sure, if they specializes in Bigfoots, but for basic repairs they are great. Check out the reviews on “yelp”
I plan on taking my “Bigfoot” there in the fall for some minor repairs.

you could always go to the Bigfoot manufacturing shop itself just slightly east of Vernon, British Columbia. Make it a trip and explore the area at the same time, beautiful country... Call them....

Give it a try
Hello,
I have 3 kiddos and got all my own windows done! I looked into paying someone and no one would do it!!!
Can you believe that?! It was any easy enough job! I did all the seals on the window itself as well as the butyl around the trailer and window. I did one an evening. You can get all your gaskets from sunviewindustries.com give them a call, they were so helpful, they made the original windows. Mine is an 83 17ft. I know it’s feels overwhelming but it’s a really easy job. It cost me about 250$ for the glazing tape, gaskets, butyl and tools.

A boat yard would likely do it for you if there is one close by to you. It is not yet spring so they are not quite swamped with work at the moment. They use butyl tape, window gaskets and sealants all the time. Should be no problem having them do a very nice job of it. But you might want to order the gaskets yourself to give to them to save on cost.

Since I live in Oregon NOT the PNW (That's Washington) I can't give specific places just general. My Scamp was hit a couple years ago and I took it to a boat repair shop. Good work, real fast and low price.

+10 used to live in PNW. Lots of boat repair shops. If you can fix a fiberglass boat then you can fix a molded FG trailer. Realize a leak in a boat is even more serious.

The boat shops will likely be very hungry for work this next few weeks with a lot of work orders on boats getting cancelled. People are going into siege mode, but you don't have to do that. They need you, you need them.

I used Get Away RV in Abbotsford, BC. They deal with Bigfoots. They did an amazing job on our windows. Great professional work. Would love to use Gilmay some day for upgrade, but it's a bit of a trip.
