1978 trillium 4500 - California

All original no modifications made 1978 Trillium model 4500. Needs some work, back window needs replacement. Windows could benefit from new gaskets etc. Original lock on door. No propane tank. Fridge door is missing so best to replace whole unit I would guess. Has dinette booth in rear which converts to a bed and front has a bench that can also double as a single for someone of limited stature. Towing lights work with a four pin flat connector but it needs a new bulb on the left side. Tows with a 2 ball

No leaks or cracks in the fiberglass that I can see

442 324 I758 is my number please text me or if you prefer to call just shoot me a text so i ll know to answer. i have to screen my calls because of the over abundance of spam calls

caution be careful.

Anyone looking to buy a 4500 Trillium should know that that are not 13 foot long. Also the price is way to high unless it has lots of upgrades and restoration done to it with lots of photos.

Just my .02 worth as a 4500 owner and former 1300 owner.

FG trailers are always measured the full length including the tongue so calling a 15 ft 4500 is not deceiving and the price will always be what a buyer is willing to pay regardless of its amenities

My comment was made after reading the "for sale" listing by the OP that he has listed in the post. Please take a minute to read the listing to see what my comment was about.

A 4500 is about 15"3' from the tip of tongue to back of rear bumper. The fiberglass body measures 11'2". not sure where the 13 foot number in the listing comes from if it is a 4500. The rear window with a crack is not an original window as they all came with Hehr windows and they are tempered glass which shatters when broken and plate glass cracks when broken making the tempered glass much safer and stronger window. Just 2 of the things I noticed in the listing as possible red flags.

My comment was a caution to any possible buyers because of so many scams with fiberglass trailers in online listings for sale. I agree with you 100% that "the price will always be what a buyer is willing to pay regardless of its amenities" This was to sellers and buyers to be aware, do your due diligence when do transactions either way.

I hope it is a real and honest listing and that the seller gets his price because that has an impact on the value of my 4500 when I sell mine to show comps to potentially buyer, no I am not trying to sell my 4500.

allow me to make a correction about the length… it’s 15’ not 13’ . it’s got all the good vibes as it were when looking for a restorative project. nothings been torn out like the stove or sink etc.

this has real potential with not too much elbow grease and it’s got great potential for actually making a profit of your just wanting a project to have a little fun with and then reselling it based on the other same year and same model on here for $19k

Please also post interior pictures.

Your description doesn't fit a 1978 4500. A front dinette was only offered from 1979, till the end of production. Also in 1978, (and only 1978) the 4500 had a window in the door that opened. I suspect that your trailer is a 1979, or later. This can be confirmed by comparing it to the serial number list:
https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...tml#post680425

If your serial number ends with 1100 or more, then it is likely later than 1978.

Some observations:
The door hinges are not original.
There is a handle added to the front. Is there another one on the other side, or the rear?
There appears to be a grey color from the wheel well to the back of the trailer. Is this a repair?

This is not my experiance. I have several broken windows, (parts). Every one of them is plate glass, not tempered glass.
